Libby Smith is a distinguished multi-sport athlete and seasoned golf performance coach now contributing to ARISE as a Referral Partner & Golf Performance Coach. Her rare collegiate experience—playing both women’s basketball and men’s golf at the Division I level—paired with a successful professional career and engineering background, gives her a uniquely analytical yet empathetic coaching style.
She brings elite athletic experience, engineering precision, and teaching excellence to her role with ARISE. Whether guiding golfers on the range, developing holistic fitness, or mentoring through strategic decision-making, she helps unlock each client’s full potential in both performance and confidence.
Athletic & Academic Legacy
Excelled in Division I women’s basketball and men’s golf at the University of Vermont, captaining both teams. She made history as the only woman in the U.S. to compete on a Division I men’s golf team throughout her college career.
Graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, providing a strong foundation in analytical thinking and precision.
Honored with inductions into multiple Halls of Fame: Vermont Sports Hall of Fame (2020), University of Vermont Athletic Hall of Fame (2012), New England Basketball Hall of Fame (2009), and Vermont Principals Association Hall of Fame (2007).

Competed professionally on the LPGA, Ladies European Tour, Epson Tour, and Ladies Asian Golf Tour (2004–2013).
Played in five major championships on the LPGA Tour and won the 2007 Hong Kong Ladies Masters, along with multiple top‑5 finishes in Europe and Epson Tour events.
Built a robust coaching career: currently owner and CEO of Libby Smith Golf, based at ARISE in Jupiter, FL (2023–present); prior roles include PGA Lead Instructor at The Club at Admirals Cove, PGA Director of Instruction at Burlington Country Club, and Head Golf Professional at The Links at Lang Farm.
